So we had planned on doing two exchanges back to back Tuesday to Wednesday and Wednesday to Thursday. So we had our Pday and then the week started and everything just started getting crazy... We had two exchanges planned for Tuesday night to Wednesday night and then Wednesday night to Thursday night. So that was going to be crazy by itself. So Tuesday night we drove to the halfway point between us and Elbasan and call them and say we're here and they thought we were coming into the city which was another 30 minute drive so we started off and were going to meet them when ever we met up and then they thought they took a different road so we were trying to find out where they were and they had no idea then it turns out they were actually on the right road so we flipped around a couple of times and finally met up with them and we exchanged and we got home a little late but there was nothing we could do about it. So I went back to Fier with Elder Wright... I served around him when I was in 1st ward so it was really good to be back with him. We had some really good talks and he got to go back to Fier after leaving a year ago. So that exchange happened and in our last lesson we went a little late so we hurried over to the half way point again and waited for them to come. We had a really good discussion about staying on the path when we go home and how to stay the person we've become not fall back into the old person. So we meet up and I get my companion back and we are late so we start driving back to Fier to grab some stuff before going to Vlore to start the other exchange. So we're almost into Fier and we get a call from President. My comp answered the phone and he tells us to put the phone on speaker.... Last time that happened we both got moved to Fier so we got real worried. He then proceeded to tell us that one of the missionaries in Fier was going to Tirana because a missionary that was being trained went home early and they haven't been able to find a solution so they are moving him and..... We are going to be a trio until stake conference if not longer.... Not only is this ridiculous news but it is also on the way to an exchange... We talked about it and decided to just go with it anyways. So we continued on to Vlore and then exchanged and I went back to Fier with Elder Fowles. Yet again got back late. Then we found out the next day we had to drive to Tirana to drop Elder Harline off and come back as a trio. So the next day we got up early and went to Tirana dropped him off and then after because it was on the way we had to stop by Elbasan because they had left some stuff in Fier on the exchange. So we drive all the way there and then had to stop by Lushnje on the way back to give them some tax papers for their house and then we finally get back to Fier. Remember that this is all on an exchange and we are now a trio. We had some really good talks on the long drives we had. Good to talk to Elder Fowles. So we get back have some lessons and then drive him back to Vlore pick my comp up and go back to Fier... as a trio.... Oh and I was the one driving on all of these trips. So I basically spent all day in the makine. Fier to Elbasan to Fier... Fier to Elbsasan to Fier to Vlore to Fier..... Fier to Tirana to Elbasan to Lushnje to Fier.... Fier to Vlore to Fier..... and then the next day we had to go to Berat to drop off the tax papers in that city. My comp took that leg. I love driving but that much will burn you out. So we finally get back into our area and the crazy driving exchange trio madness is over and we get all settled in. So I am now in a trio with Elder Crandall and Elder Clemmans who were MTC companions. Since we have been together it has been a ridiculous time. We are all pretty close and just ridiculous people so we are having a lot of fun and hoping that they can't find a mini missionary so we stay together for a whole month. We are having way too much fun together and there is never a dull moment. We found out that tracting with 3 people is a no go. It's just too much of a presence with you have three people at the door. Needless to say it was the most ridiculous week of my mission and that was just the first part... I don't think you could have a more ridiculous trio. Elder Clemans and Crandall were MTC companions. Elder Crandall and I already get along way too well and then i've been around elder Clemans for the last 3 months as zone leader and when you put us together we just get ridiculous. Having 3 makes things really interesting especially when you are ZL and the third isn't. Teaching has been an interesting experience and it's really good we get along so well or it could have been really interesting. So after all the crazy driving around madness we got settled in and realized how ridiculous we all are together and we're really excited for the next week. It's going to be a good time.
Other than the crazy week we actually had a really good week. We had a lot of lessons and have a lot of good things going on in our area right now. Not to mention we have an entire city to ourselves right now. We have a lot of good recent converts and the son of our recent convert family is going to get baptized soon. He has stopped smoking and really seen the gospel start to change his life. That family is amazing. I don't know if we can beat our family in Lushnje but they are really great. We gave them a picture of the rome temple and hopefully we can get them all baptized so they can start planning on going together. I am really enjoying this city and my time here. It has been a blast and it's a really good city with a lot of potential. I don't know what's going to happen at Transfers but I could stay here for a couple months. Crazy to think that after this month my group will be the oldest missionaries and in their dying transfer. Where does the time go.
This week we have MLC, zone training, and stake conference so again a lot of driving and crazy things happening. One day i'll get to sit down and relax. It's going to be another interesting week.
